Nassim Ramadan is a Senior Multi-Platform Presenter and Journalist, known for his digital-first approach and role as Senior Technology Editor at Asharq Al Awsat Newspaper in London. With over 545 episodes of BBC Arabic’s 4TECH show and more than 600 TV interviews with tech specialists, Nassim has reported from leading international tech events and institutions. He also creates digital content on sustainability, mental health, and education. Holding a master’s in Translation, Nassim is a renowned Voice Over artist for Emirates Airlines and OSN, with over 3000 VO scripts to his credit.

Nadim is the closest person you’ll meet at SRMG Academy who resembles the stereotypical portrait of journalists in Hollywood movies. Except he’s the real deal. A consummate news breaker, he made a name for himself during the Lebanese civil war with scoops on the fate of multiple Western hostages. He covered every major conflict in the Middle East, going on assignments to Algeria more than once during the height of the civil war in the 1990s. He went on to win Reuters’ Scoop of the Year award in 2005 for beating every rival under the sun to break the shocking news that former Lebanese Prime Minister Rafik Hariri was assassinated. He was also in charge of Reuters’ multimedia team during the US invasion of Iraq in 2003. Nadim was also editor-in-chief of Lebanon’s Daily Star newspaper between 2010 and 2022. Nadim is SRMG Academy’s Training Director, looking after our main training-for-employment programs, in addition to leading training workshops on writing, breaking news and field reporting.

Fadhil has a career spanning more than 30 years as a cameraman, editor, production manager, producer and director in his native Iraq, Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, the UK and Saudi Arabia. He covered more conflicts than he cares to list, and trained more journalists than he can remember. He worked for top news organizations including the BBC, MBC and Asharq News. At SRMG Academy, Fadhil looks after video journalism training, in addition to developing the academy’s library of tutorials and promotional material.
